Our Story

Our story began on April 24,2021, we ran into each other after 20 years at one of my close friends' Grand Opening Event.

Wait, let me go back 20 years ,when I first met Brant - he was my son’s little league basketball coach, aka Coach Brant. After the season was over, we didn't see each other again until April 24,2021.

Brant showed up at the grand opening to help his friend (the fiancé of my friend). I was already there. After the event we all went to celebrate at Locos, we both laughed we definitely enjoyed each others company. He asked for my number and I gave it to him. Before I could make it home , my phone rang- and it was Brant. We stayed on the phone until about 2 am. i’d fall asleep only to wake up, and he was still there, we finally said our goodbyes and hung up. By 6:30 AM, I’m calling him back . We talked for hours again.

After a few dates, we became best of friends, sharing the mutual love of just hanging out.

After 2 months of hanging out every day, we decided to give this friendship we had begun a different title.

A year passed along with some ups and downs we finally figured it out- Communication and understanding is the key.

After another year had passed, Brant decided it was time to give the relationship yet another new title- FIANCÉS !!

On June 30th, my 50th birthday.Brant planned and had me a surprise birthday party at a really nice lounge . He invited my closest family and friends, made arrangements for decorations, and transportation to have me brought to the venue. As soon as I arrived, he met me at the door. He placed a tiara on my head and a happy 50th birthday banner around my shoulders. We proceeded to walk in, and all I heard was SURPRISE! The DJ called me to the dance floor, where Brant was waiting and requested the DJ to play a song titled “Spend My Life” . With only he and I an the dance floor, the music stopped. He knelt on one knee and proposed! And of course, i said yes!

Three months later , we began planning our wedding.

Over these past 2 years ,I want to point out that while we love each other, he has shown me how to love a better version of myself. He has taught me how to fall in love with someone's heart. We’ve held each other’s hands throughout so many challenges, but it’s helped us grow as a couple, too. He has shown me that growth isn’t scary.
